John Williams
Lets face it, Star Wars just wouldn't be Star Wars without John Williams, the man behind the music of all six Star Wars films.
John Towner Williams was born in Floral Park, New York in 1932. The son of a percussionist for CBS radio, Williams' interest in music was sparked from an early age. He moved to Los Angeles with his family in 1948, and attended both UCLA and Los Angeles City College where he studied composition. After three years of service in the U.S. Air Force, Williams returned to New York where he studied piano at Julliard while also working as a jazz pianist.
Williams is known for his sweeping anthems and memorable themes. Over the years he has established himself as one of the greatest American film composers of all-time.
